How to Dilute Laundry Detergent

How to Dilute Laundry Detergent

It’s no surprise that laundry is an often reoccurring event in our home; toddler life, nurse life, we need our clothes cleaned on the reg! What we use to wash our clothes can have significant health impacts for us, so it’s important to consider the ingredients of the products we choose. Most store-bought laundry detergents contain a lot of harsh chemicals and toxins. Think about your skin as your body’s first line of defense. It is after all the body’s largest organ! Anything that comes into contact with our skin also has contact with our other major organs through the bloodstream. Let’s be mindful of what we are putting on our clothes that get onto our skin and into our bodies.

In our home, I’m grateful that we don’t have to compromise quality and safety for quantity and efficacy, not with Thieves. Many store-bought laundry detergents are already pre-diluted, which is how they are so inexpensive. The Thieves laundry detergent comes in a 6x ultra-concentrated solution, meaning you only need the tiniest amount to get the job done! To make things even easier, we dilute the detergent so that we can add more volume to the load, as well as add our own essential oils to give it the naturally-occurring fragrance we desire!

Here is how we dilute our Thieves laundry detergent to last for a Y E A R!

➳ Split one container of laundry detergent evenly into three containers⁣

➳ Add 2-3 capfuls of the Thieves household cleaner concentrate to the detergent⁣

➳ Fill the rest of the containers up with HOT water! This helps it to mix together well!⁣

➳ Add any essential oils you want! I chose lavender and lemon :)⁣

➳ Use about 1/2-1 capful per load, depending on the load size⁣

➳ Enjoy doing laundry for the next year without any toxins or chemicals!⁣
